About Cala d'Or
Rather than one beach, Cala d'Or is a chain of them: Cala Gran, Cala Esmeralda, Cala Ferrera and Cala Serena, each with its own hotels and each a short drive from the next. The marina, Marina de Cala d'Or, sits between them and is the main landmark. Avinguda de Bélgica is the commercial spine with the shops and restaurants. Portopetro, a genuine fishing village, is a few minutes south, and the Mondragó natural park just beyond it. The drive from Palma is around an hour on good roads.
